Description: This program offers a three-year fellowship with a fellowship-trained urogynecologist in an established referral practice.
Comprehensive office evaluations and management strategies for complex urogynecological complaints are pursued. Diagnostic components of patient assessment include complex multichannel urodynamics and office cystoscopy.
Office treatment and surgical intervention are both utilized in patient management. Surgery is principally performed at Texas Woman’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Procedures include minimally invasive vaginal, abdominal, and laparoscopic approaches. Approximately 400-450 patients undergo surgery with our practice annually.
The practice has appointments with the University of Texas Health & Science Center, Houston. Dr. Lotze is the director for the UTHSC-Houston and LBJ OB/Gyn residency Gross Anatomy Lab and as well performs national anatomy skills labs annually.
Research is required. Participation in both local and national research projects is currently ongoing.
A fellow is accepted into the program every 2-3 years. Interested candidates should contact the office for further information regarding the program.
